Forum drama establishes a creative, out of the box experience where participants are free to think the unthinkable, say the unsayable and receive immediate feedback on their interventions
A forum drama workshop is tailor made or adapted to your requirements. First we obtain a clear brief and define an agreed goal. This may be to generate new ideas, solve problems creatively, try new strategies or implement change. We devise a range of scenes to represent the issues involved. Participants are then free to work with the characters to change the outcomes of the scene. They do this safe in the knowledge that the actors will do the embarrassing bits!
Forum drama is a powerful tool. It allows workshop participants to proceed safe in the knowledge that the characters they are dealing with are fictitious and cannot be offended.
With expert facilitation, forum allows participants to find and rehearse a variety of possible strategies and solutions. They are free to abandon or adapt any they feel are inappropriate, work in co-operation with colleagues to create strategies, discuss outcomes.
Forum is safe, stimulating and challenging, participants find it liberating and are frequently amazed at the range of possibilities they explore. It is a rare opportunity to act with the benefit of hindsight, question behaviour and take risks.
